And what of Pomba Gira?

And what of Pomba Gira? What can be said about her? Is she, as is often said, the Devil’s Wife? Is she an Ancestress? A witch? A whore? A murderess? A confidant? A fantasy? Each answer is a mirror held to your perception of otherness, of desire, of WOMAN.

It is in Pomba Gira that we are called to live a life with joy, and freedom! Her mysteries are more than secret knowledge, they are the keys to self knowledge, an apple for each seeker “who-would-be-like-gods.”

Staring back at you from the flames is she-who-dances, the spinning dove, who dances on the crossroads of every moment, who looks back at the end of every desire and asks you to dance with her…

Mystery is her blessing and her potential is limitless! May we walk always in her good company… and may there always be a rose for the Queen of Hell!
